1. Understand the structural characteristics and materials of the workpiece, the machining surface, machining requirements, machining tolerance, locating datum, clamping parts, and the machine tools, cutting tools and measuring tools used in this process.
2. Conceive the structural scheme of the fixture, such as specific clamping, positioning mode and structure, clamping mode and structure, tool feeler, alignment fixture, etc.
3. Error analysis and clamping force estimation. When the machining accuracy requirements are high, the machining error analysis should be carried out. For parts with special structure, the clamping force should be estimated if pneumatic, hydraulic and other transmission devices are used.
4. Draw the general assembly drawing and non-standard part drawing, and determine the technical requirements for processing, assembly and inspection with reference to relevant standards.
